Recently, our Technical Director, ANDRE JACOBS, led a practical session at Rietkloof Farm in Piketberg. During this session, he emphasized the importance of cold units for table grape vineyards.
“Cold units facilitate the conversion of carbohydrates stored as starch into sugar, which is vital for the energy required during bud break and bunch growth. Without adequate cold units, the vines will struggle to thrive in the summer.”
We are grateful for the cold units and rain lately. And look forward to vines that will not only thrive but exceed expectations during the 2024/2025 Table Grape Season.
